About me

Hi! My name is Charlie Coleman. I’m 19 years old, and I’m a sophomore at Pomona College majoring in art and minoring in mathematics.

I’ve been making art in some form since I was a little kid, but I started to take it seriously at the beginning of high school. Metals Intensive, a jewelry and sculpture class, was the first non-required art class I took. With my great teacher, Ms. Vines, and my love for working with my hands, I was hooked.

My favorite medium is definitely metal—specifically, I love working with copper because it is so forgiving and malleable.

Although I love art, it’s not all I do. Outside of the studio, I like to play tennis, cook, play guitar, and read.
